Mark Blackburn and Martin Dowling are starting a new London meeting to be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Ace Cafe on the North Circular Road NW10 7UD to coincide with their Italian Night to
get around the 3 people in the pub senario.

Well done Simon, Mark and Martin! A really welcome initiative - I’ll try to get there. And for us north Londoners, the Essex meeting is not far away.

Hi Tim, do you have a retro-trip in your HF and if so could you let me have the three figures in the display as I need to calibrate mine and need a start point. Many thanks in advance.

It was good to be at the Ace Café this evening and to meet up with Mark Blackburn and Martin Dowling who had the bright idea of using the Café as a venue for a regular LMC gathering.

We were a bit overwhelmed by other Italian cars and motorbikes, but hopefully there will be more Lancias in the future.

Here’s a picture of my car looking small in the company of more modern Italians:

I like the "Ace" and have attended a number of classic meets there, besides my time there with motorbikes in the 1950's, ( rumoured to have been, who could get to the Neasden circus roundabout and back quickest, supposed to have been before the record on the jukebox finished, but I can't ever remember achieving it, and many who tried were killed trying to take the bend at the Iron Bridge Cry)
Only about 30+ miles so I'll try and make it, when's next?

I was going to come down but after hearing about all the traffic around the north of London I thought i'd leave it 'till next time.

Lets have a Sport fest in July!

Hopefully no tube strike to clog the roads up!

Good to meet Martin and Mark last night at the ace, excellent venue, shame only three Lancia's turned up, hopefully next month we can get a better turn out.
Enjoyed the drive down the A40 in convoy with Jay Kay in his beautiful old Ferrari something, it was on an old A reg 1963/4 ? he was admiring the Fulvia and the pair sounded fantastic together.
Look forward to next month.
Tony.

Christmas is over, it's the New Year, a new month, which means next Thursday (14th Jan) we'll be back at the Ace (well I will anyway!) subject to ice, snow, salt etc...

11th February meet.

Looks like reasonable weather for tomorrow, so I'll be there. Don't be shy.

Martin.

Hi Carlos / Joanna,

No, that would be completely unreasonable given the amount of snow we've already had.

Unless you live in Dover or Norwich, the expectation is for no snow, cold yes, but snowless ! So I still plan to be there.

Of course it could all change.
