The Bristol Area group are revisiting La Bruschetta in Thornbury for their Christmas Meal. I've booked the meal for (provisionally) 20 on the 6th December 2008 at 7:30pm. There is on-street parking available on Thornbury High Street and Castle Street, and Castle Court car park has long and short-stay parking just behind La Bruschetta, with easy access through the restaurant's walled garden.

They don't actually have a Christmas menu out yet ... (we're just too quick in the LMC!) ... so they'll ring me when it's published and I'll post on the Forum (hopefully I can get one to the October meeting).

Please let me know whether you can come (and how many) : all welcome including friends and family. When I know more details I'll arrange to collect deposits.

Here is a link to the restaurant ... http://www.mythornbury.co.uk/labruschetta

I would like to thank Steve for arranging the meal on behalf of everyone who attended the event. A great time was had by all and the meal was excellent. Nice to see Chris Hopkins and his wife who travelled down from Newbury for the evening.

Only downside was trying to work out the payment afterwards.

Seconded! A very enjoyable evening.  Smiley

My only downside was paying "£25 per head" for two small appetites - a bit pricy for children's meals  Angry

Yes, it made a very nice meal last night. It just stunned me as my expectation was more along £15 for the girls' meals. Hope carving up the bill didn't test your bistromathics too much!
