Help.

Does anyone know if the Thema Vis has a diagnostic port to read faults? My injection light has always been lit at idle and disappeared when the revs rose. Now, however, it's lit constantly. The strange thing is, the car is running better than ever and is doing almost 40mpg. Huh?
(The lambda probe was replaced around six months ago when I replaced the exhaust.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt.

Hi Matt,
This should help.

hope it's not running too lean, although both my Thema 16V Vis have been Autos & they would turn in over 30mpg on a run, a lot better than my 2 Dedra autos ever returned.(at least in my hands!)

Many thanks for that. I've also found that the Themas are much better for mpg than any of the Dedras I've owned. I could never get more than 29mpg out of the 2.0, which was terrible for such a small car. That's what I get from my 8.32!!
I'll see if the garage can find out what's wrong with the Thema, although I'm reluctant to spend much on it as I only paid £150 for it!

Always found that the three manual 2.0ie Dedra's regularily returned over 30mpg, and I've never been known for having a feather light foot on the accellerator Grin
Thema Auto, surprise, surprise couldn't match them on cross country roads, but certainly could on long main road/motorway journeys,  the Series 3 Thema auto is geared at 31.5 mph per 1000 rpm, on a trip to the south of France we were running between Reims & Strasbourg at 120mph with 4000 rpm on the clock, while another trip to Lake Orta & Fobello 4 up, with luggage, turned in just over 32 mpg for the total of 1500 miles.

I bought the Vis around March 2007 with some Mot & tax. It flew through the Mot, drove it to the Tarn valley in France last July. It did 2700+ miles in a week @ mid 30s mpg doing around 130kph. The photo's of the car at the Millau viaduct where the temperature was 44C!

Not bad for £150!!

Happy memories of canoeing the Tarn from above St Enemie down to our campsite just above Millau, was a bit of a bind to have to carry the canoes around the section that's blocked by huge boulders Par Du Suce?
Back in the days long before the viaduct, when it seemed to take forever to drop down into Millau & climb up out the other side! and the motorway to the south was just wishful thinking.

£150 for the VIS Shocked what a bargain! is it a manual box?
