The 2024 Season kicks off with the 24 hours of Daytona as per usual, Round 1 of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.
LMP2 cars will continue to feature in this Championship, the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). However, due to the burgeoning field of Hypercars and GT3 cars in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), they will no longer appear in this Championship, except for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
GTE cars have now been replaced with GT3 cars in all the above Championships, so the World Endurance Championship now has just 2 Classes of cars racing this year, as mentioned above.
Here is the 2024 Calendar with the continuing (and final) Rounds from the Asian Le Mans Series 2023-2024 Season (ALMS).
Some details remain to be published. When these are known, I will update the Calendar.
