After 8 wonderful years I am considering selling my Sport 1600 chassis 1401. It is an Italian spec car therefore Lhd with white indicator lenses and rubber floor mats.

Originally a Rosso San Siro coloured car and first registered in Padova (original dealer sticker still in rear window)in February 1972. It was exported to Germany in 1985 and resprayed Rosso Palermo with period wide Satin Black Bonnet as per early brochure cars. The re-spray still looks great today with straight body panels and equal gaps. Other than the respray it has never been restored so remains original. It is a very solid car and fully protected underneath. All glass is original too.

It is not concours with minor age related marks but is in excellent condition inside and out with no known faults ready to use. It won the ‘Rudler’ Zagato trophy for best Zagato bodied car at the July 2023 Lancia Motor Club AGM & National Rally Weekend.

All electrics including instrumentation, lights, windows, hatch inside and out work smoothly and there is nothing missing. Static lap belts are fitted front and rear.
The car is optioned with 14” Cromodora alloy wheels, tinted glass, passenger door mirror and heated rear window. Specific Sport 1600 items are correct including bumpers with overriders, bespoke grille & light surround, unique door handles, oil temperature gauge, electric windows and sports seats with head rests.

It remained in Germany for over 30 years to five owners. I purchased it there in 2015 with 81,000km on the clock, imported it into the UK and am its only UK owner. It now has just under 91,000km (56,000 miles).

History wise I have limited paperwork prior to my ownership but every document since with invoices for over £9,000 in my ownership. Last serviced and UK MOT tested in May 2023 along with refurbished alloy wheels & new Continental tyres fitted. It has no known issues and should not currently require anything. I have a Workshop manual, handbook, sales brochure, German Classic Car Magazine where this car is tested against an Alfa Romeo GT Junior Zagato and other accompanying literature.

Seen at various AGM’s & GNW’s over the years therefore relatively well known in the club, I would like it to go to a good home so asking for around £41,750 (Euro 47,500) ono which represents great value in today’s European market for a genuine matching numbers Sport 1600.
