Hi All,

I am getting a price from Lepson's of Wolverhampton for the refurbishment of the 4 wheels on my 1600HF.  I will probably stick to the original silver colour so was wondering if anyone new what the RAL number was or paint name for the wheels?

Thanks for any help.

Regards,
Martyn.

Its actually a Lancia body colour Argento Nevada not that they will have that in powder coat.

Be careful if their process is wet dip it will be useless on Magnesium wheels.

BTW the lacquer finish should be somewhere between gloss and satin (sometimes called a Dutch finish - not sure why....)

Beware, the colour Argento Nevada might not be a reliable guide. I chose metallic Argento Nevada for my car and used the Max Meya colour codes to specify it, and it came out to be a lovely light silver, with a greenish tinge in some lights. It was much admired. Quite different to the clear silver of the wheels. See attached pic.

Martyn - I took a screenshot of a posting on the forum a few years back.  The member name was D5177_55A.  It was a discussion on Cromodora wheels and he/she posted the following:

"I was told by Omicron a few years ago that they specify RAL9006 White Aluminium for Cromodoras.  Make sure your wheel refurbishing specialist does a proper blast, coat, bake, lacquer, bake procedure, as they 'may' be magnesium alloy".

You could call Andrew at Omicron for confirmation.  He's very helpful.

I have had my Cromodoras on my Sport fully refurbished and Powder coated at DA Techs, Adlington, Lancashire back in April. They have done an absolutely outstanding job as commented upon by all at both the GNW & AGM, It cost £340 all in for the four and they ensured that there were no untidy weights on the outside either. They also fitted 4 new tyres at the same time, which were obviously extra.

Love a little brake dust after some hard driving around Monmouthshire.
These 175/65/14 max Sport RB3 medium compound perform beautifully highly recommend them.
