Tyre pressure monitoring valves
«

Has anyone had to replace any of their valves? I have one which is leaking and I did a search for replacements but various ones are on sale in varying designs for very different prices. Any ideas folks?

There are quite a few designs, most decent tyre outfits keep them in stock now so just ask at your local.
Change quite a few especially the rubber ones on Fords' , they leak for fun it seems!

you can have 2 for example vauxhall corsas , both with TPMS but different valve stems , some bolt in some are rubber , both of these are different to say for , bmw honda etc , generally speaking we stock most of the popular valves which is probably the 10 most popular , these fit 90% of the vehicles we see , when cars come in that we don't stock the valve we will just fit an ordinary valve whilst a specific valve is ordered .
most good independents tend stock all the popular valves so shouldn't be an issue , i'm always dubious of the quality of "online" products like valves etc , surprising the difference in quality between a decent brand and a cheap one

Thanks both, I looked on line because my usual local tyre fitter said he would fit a new valve if I sourced it, so by what you say, I will ring round other dealers who can source what I need instead.
