I said I'd stop looking at classic car sites but the Goodwood track day has pushed me over the edge, again. Having been converted to the joy of a four-door Fulvia (to quote a wise lady, 'they go like **** off a shovel', you know who you are), I'm very tempted by a Flavia sedan. Apropos of which, I'm assuming this is a member's car as it won the concours at this year's AGM. I'm also assuming it's well out of my price range due to condition, mileage and winning the concours at this year's AGM. https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1968-lancia-flavia-berlina-series-ii-4XlpR4I will now write out 100 times: I must stop looking at classic car websites

Thanks Brian. Unfortunately, despite my best intentions I've actually found one closer to home.
It was recently imported from Italy by someone who knows what they're doing and it ticks all the boxes in terms of condition and spec.
The issue is I have to get rid of a couple of cars first so I'm hoping it doesn't sell (I'm not putting the link on here just in case!).

I thought that the red Flavia Coupe won the Concours?

I thought that the red Flavia Coupe won the Concours? Wasn't it best overall of all the sections concours winners? The Flavia above may have won its concours section? P

Ad says it was a 'Lancia club concours class show winner', without elaborating
Academic to me at least as it will be out of my price range, but there are other fish in the sea

A nice looking example but I would make sure I saw it 'in the flesh' before bidding. There are always quite a few of these at reasonable prices for sale in Italy - for some reasons the Flavia range dont seem to have really caught their eye there yet pricewise. I wonder what it will sell for? Chris

I can never understand why people MOT a vehicle , in this case 2017 to 2020 and then don't bother as ts not a requirement. Still think MOT's are a plus, in that another pair of eyes might see what you may have missed and give a record of the vehicles mileage.

What a nice car - but I'd really hate to tackle anything major under the bonnet which is crammed with bits , pipes , wires and pieces! But then I'm a prewar person and not used to these moderns! Also many of the black structural bits have a strange finish which may be intended but looks like painted over rust - is that normal? I'd want to do a lot of rust proofing down below the car before venturing out in the rain.

Typical, a new member just joined and swept the 2022 Concours then puts the car up sale!

I wonder if, like Ian at Goodwood, they had a ride in something else at the AGM and got that strain of Lancia fever?

I fully agree with that, especially if it is up for sale then why not give any potential bidders or buyers a bit more confidence is car condition by getting an MoT on it? Makes no sense to me why you wouldn't, even though there may be no requirement to do so it just inspires confidence rather than introducing doubt. The classic one in any ad is "only 1 week of test left but will fly through" ! Well put one on then!!!

Guys, This is all a bit confusing, as at this years AGM in the Concours my red 815 Coupe won the Flavia/2000 class and then went on to win the overall concours trophy (the Neville Buckle Cup) so I’m not sure what the vendor is alluding to when he says his car is the clubs 2022 concours winner !

Is there a 'Lancia Owners Club' as well as our Lancia Motor Club?
