Having successfully driven back from Genoa I've discovered that my engine is likely to need some attention, due to 'a bit of a clatter' from cylinder 1.
The engine starts well, idles smoothly but gets noisy at 1800 to 2000 rpm.
I haven't yet done a compression test but have taken a photo attached of pistons 1 & 3. Piston 1 is the wet one? I'm sure it will also be down on compression.
Who would you recommend for rebuild of these engines.
