for sale 1958 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT series6
my late father bought this car around 40 years ago as a project to restore , as with many of these things life got in the way and sadly the restoration never happened .
The car is very original having been dry stored since my fathers purchase appears to be mostly original paint and un welded making this easier to repair than un doing decades of other peoples repairs .
This is a project so will require a full restoration , it is not a weekends work to get on the road , the car is mechanically complete just engine removed , most of interior is still in place
There is a huge amount of spares with this vehicle , there are 3 engines (2 spare) 3x spare trans axles (there is 1 still in the car) , 3 x spare rear axles and springs , 2x spare front axles , spare wheels and wheel trims , spare bumpers (front and rear) spare drive shafts and pot joints ( several) , 2 x floor change conversions , spare lamps , spare doors , bonnet, bootlid and rear qtr panels , spare brakes front and rear , spare interiors spare fuel tanks, spare radiator  , then boxes and boxes and boxes of parts ( 20 green trays in picture, car has loads inside too) such as steering boxes , pedal assemblies , brake components, interior trim and handles etc, electrical parts  etc there is just far too much to list !
Anyone who knows these vehicles will know that the cars are rare but spares are even harder to find and now astronomical money with engines changing hands for £10k each .
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a car and stash of parts like this they just do not exist like this anymore
realistically i value the car at £35k and the spares probably iro  £30k , these are still a £100k+ vehicle when restored and the spares are only going up in value .
Genuine reason for sale , I've ended up with way too many cars so some have to go
serious offers invited iro
£55,000

Looks like a great project for someone and I will be badgering the buyer for some of their excess parts at some point, I expect.

I've never seen a recessed numberplate mount on the boot lid like this one before. I quite like it.

Must have a Swiss connection as there is a "CH" fitted to the booth lid.
Among the millions of parts, there are an Augusta Berlina and an Aprilia visible.

Hi James, your Dad's B20 has popped up for sale on Subito for 16,000 Euros.

Not sure it's worth the effort to get the site to take the ad down, but do be careful out there people. You know the appropriate maxim, 'if it looks too good to be true, it probably is'.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone - sadly not for me but if I were 15 years younger who knows!!!!!
Complete B20 projects like this are very few and far between these days and with all those spare parts as well. Without knowing exactly what spares are included I would say the price is very realistic bearing in mind things like carburettors and cylinder heads are minimum £2k each if in reasonable condition. And instruments, floor changes etc and so on.

Thankyou Chris , quite refreshing to hear after the grief i've had on the LMC facebook page about the car being an overpriced basket case

James - as for facebook you only need a single buyer.  Its not an X Factor or Love Island vote.  Good luck with it all, and here's hoping these cars come back to visit you over the years all finished and a tribute to your dad looking after them and accumulating the required spares.

Indeed James, am not inclined to take too much notice of anything said on social media, people like to give their opinion but ultimately it's up the seller and buyer to agree a price, simple as.

Good luck with sale, hoping to see another Aurelia on the road in the not too distant future, courtesy of you and your late dad.

If you add it all up, its a decent price, as Chris says. But there is some concern - as the subset of folks who want to fully restore a B20 are not so many, and typically disassembled cars with bits are traded at low values.

I don't know if its just the atmosphere of the moment (!) but are less people undertaking full restorations? The cost of restoring a B20 has gone higher yet(!), and when compared to buying a good one, gives reason for pause.
