Nice little 84 Beta Coupe VX in the next sale, pretty rare sight on the roads these days.
Plenty of pics and a detailed video. No affiliation to the car but if someone is looking for one maybe worth a look 👀

They sold one recently for a couple of thousand, it reappeared at the NEC Restoration show this year and made £5k odd. This one looks to be in better condition than that one. Looks like it still needs a fair bit of work though, sills underneath don't look great and the passenger B post may be crumbly? Retrimmed in the wrong material sadly. I think this one ought to raise over estimate.
Had I not already got a Coupe restoration under way I would have gone to see and maybe bid!

Agree it has the makings of a nice car and will most likely be 50% over estimate.
A shame I too have plenty of stuff on or I'd be tempted, but you can't have them all I guess!

Strong money indeed, but as you say, find another.
What was the original guide price again?

£5k to £7k so it doubled as you said.

Even at that money it looked like it needed work to the sills and possibly A posts. I have no idea what state the suspension towers are in, I hope the buyer saw them before committing that much to the car with non original seat trim.

If anyone seriously wants a Beta VX Coupe I can point them in the direction of a seller with a car that will need a fair bit of work.

Alan Cooper went to look at in in the flesh and declared the sills and suspension towers intact as far a external inspection can confirm. The only downsides he found were the interior and yes, this isn't a miss print, some household plumbing fittings added to the cooling and power steering systems! I kid you not, the pictures are on Facebook.......
