Hi,
A friend of mine made me a set of seat boxes.
My car has had its original boxes removed when the floor was replaced, and these are lost.

The new boxes look very nice, however, we are wondering how the nuts are attached to the boxes, originally?
Are they welded onto the boxes, or are they some sort of captive nuts?

Hi Torstein,

On my 3rd Series project, they are captive in little boxes. I think it would be hard to get exact spacing otherwise, though not impossible.

Thank you William!

If its not too much trouble, would it be possible to have centre to centre measurements for the space between the holes of the nuts?
I don't have the original seats, so I cant measure it that way.

I hope these are helpful - let me know if you need more.

The front of the car is to the left in these photos - this is the lhs of the car.

These are very helpful William, thank you!!

Would it be possible to have the distance between the rails, and the distance from rail to sill?

Are the bolts m10?

I will not pester you any more, thank you very much Smiley

Hi, Torstein,

I'm away at the moment but will provide more measurements when I'm home.

In the meantime, I might have spotted just what you need in a new Ad on Subito...

These look like B20 seats to me. What do you think?

Best, William
