I've had to face facts, I have too many cars sat idle which never get used, some needing work of varying degrees but some useable with great potential.
My Y10 GTie falls into that category.

It has only 48k on the clock with reams of history to back this up, formerly a long time LMC club member owned car from which I purchased the car in 2018. Since then it gained an MoT and had a few little jobs done, as can be followed on this thread.

https://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=10648.0

The Alcantara interior is in great condition, very luxuriously appointed with a rare factory wind back sunroof, it tilts then draws almost fully back.

As mentioned above, it isn't in perfect condition needing a few jobs rectifying. It has had a respray some time ago, 10 years or more I'd say, but it is now showing some rust to remedy at the sunroof corners on the roof, and a blister or two popping up on the rear arches. I had intended on doing to this one what I did to the Y10 LX I did recently, take it back to a bare shell and go to town on it, new sills purchased in anticipation although they appear OK, just they were so good for the LX and cheap I bought a pair while they were still available!
The paintwork is a good 5 yard car, looks great until you see it really close, some micro-blisters here and there. Also the rear hatch seal was loose so I put some sealant on it to keep moisture out ,a temporary solution but far from a pretty one! The hatch was replaced with a brand new one at the mentioned respray so has no rust anywhere, very rare again as they seem to rust around the glass openings. Doors and wings are good, bonnet likewise, so outer body wise it's very good reall for the age.

As I say, I have had to make the decision that having 8 cars is far too many, so a thinning out needs to happen. My integrale will stay, the Dedra turbo I'm in the middle of doing will be a keeper too, a recent purchase of an Alfa GTV has made me think it's one or the other that needs to go, as I've no other classic Alfa then the Y10 has fallen by default.
I'd ideally like it to go to a forum member who is keen on making it into a real peach of a Y10, which I feel it deserves rather than being sat in my shed collecting dust, I'd guess it hasn't done 100 miles since the last MoT!

I will put a full 12 months fresh MoT on it subject to an agreement on price, or will reduce if someone wants to take it as is, the current MoT runs out in September.

I feel it's worth every penny of £2,000. Maybe people will disagree but as the classic market has grown lately to the extent that a common old Mini is around £10k then this is surely a bargain? If not I will SORN it and see if I find time in a few years to make it right. I do have to be sensible though and finally admit that I don't have the energy or enthusiasm anymore to spend weekends and evenings doing a full stripdown, I've a Flavia coupe still awaiting that energy being spent on it which I've had for a few years now.

The car is in Lincolnshire, I'm more than willing to have a ride over to anyone who is interested enough to have a look, serious buyers only though please, but in relaity any excuse to drive the poor thing!

Someone at the AGM was looking at the one you sold through Matthewson's and saying they fancied a Y10 for running about in. I did say that they should keep an eye out in case you decided you had too many cars. Unfortunately I can't remember who it was (memory isn't what it used to be and was never great any way).

Hopefully they may see this and get in touch.

You must be a mind reader Frank!
I was 50/50 on going to the AGM today, but just too many other things delayed and persuaded me against thge long trip.
A daily driver would fit it perfectly, sat in my shed getting dusty is a crime really.

Just had the DPF Filter clogged message on the 159 Ti Q4. Again. At the moment I seem to be doing nothing but short journeys with the car and it's not doing it any good at all.

I have a feeling that a little Y10 petrol runabout would suit the bill perfectly. But if anyone else jumps in before me then no worries...

So, I'm at Silverstone this weekend but if it's still available in a week or so then I see a trip to Lincolnshire to blow the crap out of a DPF & regenerate it...

That's odd - clock on the wall says 19.15 - I think the forum clock is an hour out!

Hi Guy.

I feel your pain re DPF regen woes, had a 159 & Brera diesels, the 159 was constantly dropping the MPG right down whilst dumping diesel down the DPF, econimical it wasn't! The Brera barely did more than 30mpg, but did pull like a train. My daily is a Giulietta JTDm 170, which still does the rgen thing but doesn't produce all the warnings....on 171k now and still going well, wouldn't mind a 1750 petrol turbo one , but that's another story!

I saw the Y10 again this afternoon, sat lonely in my shed. Made me want to take it for a run, but didn't.
If you are interested in a look at it then please feel free to message me and we'll have a meet up sometime.
I can guarantee smiles all round! Great fun to drive, and probably does high 40's mpg from the journeys I've done and what little it did use.
I've no real plans to advertise it anywhere much else, only on here and an Alfa forum I'm on, I'm in no rush to run the gauntlet of eBay just yet!

Hi Guy

If you go to the profile and look at the forum layout section it gives you offset from GMT which is currently +1, there is an auto stet option which should adjust it. I do not know if that will auto adjust back to GMT come October.

Well it was a long round trip from Liverpool to Boston to view the car with the intention of buying it but after a test-drive it isn't the car for me or, more importantly, Andrea! It drives very well and I can't believe the complete lack of blind spots! I have no doubt it'll find a happy home with someone who will give it what little attention it deserves in due course. A full MOT would probably help with the sale but I can't think of anyone else better qualified to look after it in the interim than Kev and maybe to complete it's restoration the way it deserves to be done.

Still have a hankering for a petrol runabout though. Now where was that blue early Ypsilon I saw on eBay a while back - LHD I think. That might be worth a look!
