Am I correct in thinking standard brake fluid for Fulvia systems is Dot 3.
Any recommendations for supplier please.

I only use dot 4 or silicon dot 5. Dot 3 is compatible with dot 4 and dot 4 has a much higher boiling point than dot 3.....

I always use Dot 4 in our old cars and never have anything else on my shelves. I avoid silicon fluid only because i dont want to run into possible trouble with mixing fluid and consequent seal problems.

only use silicon fluid on cars that are dedicated to that. I.e they have never seen glycol based Dot 4 etc.

I've now a bottle of Dot 4 but it says it's synthetic, so I'm now confused is it safe to use? my old tin of top up brake fluid was lockheed/Girling, and I have no recollection if it was synthetic, come to that, I wonder what the garage used the last time they changed the brake fluid Huh?

Brian, modern DOT4 is synthetic these days it is not the fully synthetic or silicon type fluid you can't mix, it should not be a problem.
