Hi, Does anyone know how the Flaminia's engine block is earthed?
Basically my Flaminia's starter motor is activating erratically, which I think, might be a bad earth situation for the block?
Thanks in advance.

The earth on my car is from the block above the oil filter to the bulkhead

Sounds more like brushes to me.
If they are worn, the starter wont engage thereby saving damage to the commutator due to excessive arcing.
