You All
Having great difficulties removing my steering wheel. Is it brute force and ignorance that is required, or something with a bit more delicacy? I can't see how a puller would help with fear of shattering the plastic housing!

do the nut up to protect the thread and hit with copper mallet while other pair of hands pulls the wheel back. ie brute force.

There is or should be a big spring under it so with the nut loose you may waggle it free while tugging. Keep nut on so it does not hit you in the face.

What size socket Tim to remove the nut?
