Hello all.  Has anyone ever switched a Series 3 Appia from LHD to RHD?  Apart from sourcing a dashboard, what other issues might you face?

Even if this is do able, I am far from sure that I would do it, but I am curious as to the possibility.

Thanks!

It is possible you would need a lot of parts, steering column and box, pedal assembly throttle linkage come to mind.
The purchase of a donor car would make sense. it's a lot of work may be better to buy righthand drive car.

A man in Australia converted a lefthand drive convertible (vignale) to right hand drive using a right hand drive berlina as the donor car.

Thanks all, probably too much hassle all round!

LHD is not too big a deal anyway, although I have actually overtaken a couple of dawdling modern cars in my Appia!

My previous LHD car was a Talbot Matra Murena 2.2 S, a car in which you wanted to overtake everybody, so I had to get used to sighting along the inside on long straight bits.   No doubt Integrale drivers are used to that.

Hi Gerard
I read your post with interest as I think we possibly have all the parts but it would be a lot of work but the idea of a donor car sounds a better one.

Does it have a thread here?  I shall PM you.   When I was in Jersey two weeks ago someone left me a note about buying my LHD Appia.
