I need a starting handle for my Aprilia, and the need is an immediate one! Does any member have such an implement that he or she is willing to part with for a suitable consideration? I have had a disagreement with my starter motor and very much want to be mobile again. Saluti. Cesare

I had one made for the Augusta which is literally a simple crank which just needs two bends in a length of steel bar with a cross pin to engage the crankshaft dog. The bends are tight right angles so heat is needed - in normal times any metalworking shop would knock one up in no time if you can work out the dimensions or borrow one to copy. I didn't bother with a sleeve on the handle end, reckoning that I shall probably only use it when timing the engine and not need to worry about friction on my fingers.

Cesare,
I have uploaded a drawing of a starter handle - see Aprilia section. It may help you get mobile again.
