On investigating a knocking noise from the gearbox, I've discovered that whoever put the engine/gearbox back in (I have images of the car without its engine etc.) failed to put back the square bush that sits between the bottom of the gearbox and the cradle, and that the source of the noise is the gearbox knocking off the cradle!

So the challenge I have is finding a new/used bush to resolve the issue.  Is there any hope of finding one of these?

Yours in hope.

Is it #15 in the tav pic?

I might have one if so.

It is #15.  Can't imagine why this wasn't put back in when the engine was put back in!

If you do have one for sale that would be great.

Thanks

I have just had a look and have this - says Flavia on it but my Flavia is an early one with a different system.

PM me if you want to take further.

I've now had a good look at the cradle and gearbox and:

1. The cradle has a centre hole
2. There are no holes/bolts that correspond with those in the images in earlier posts.
3. There is some small round/flat allen key dics/screw heads on the box, but these are offset and not aligned to the cradle.

The parts book shows the bush for the 820 with no fixing see attached files.

Mark, looking at the parts diagram you clearly need mounting #15 which shows 2 holes and cutouts for the Allen Cap screws to bolt to the gearbox and Nos. 9 & 1 (nut and washer) which presumably attach to a stud (not shown) which passes through the hole in the cradle.

If you look at the gearbox tav there are 2 studs showing coming out of the base of the gearbox where the mounting needs to be. Those countersunk cap bolts are foreigners...

I stand corrected Tim. I only saw the image Mark posted and commented on that. I don`t have a Flavia parts Manual but I thought they didn`t look very period Lancia.

Hi everyone,

Now to try and find out whats causing a parasitic draw in fues 9 circuit - thoughts?

Re current draw, are there any aftermarket relays fitted for say fog lamps. Could be wired incorrectly and coil of relay always on....

Can't see any additions., although oddly the relay feeding the coil/horn etc has power to it constantly. Also I've found a flasher unit loose, which is powered when the ignition is on and a motorola box in the engine bay (see image) which is wired to something. but has two unconnected plugs coming from it.....

Having just removed tape I can see that the Motorola relay is connected the the alternator and there is no power from  either of the blanked plugs.

Have included some images of the live relay.
