My Prisma will hit the bump stops on the front rather easily.especially in hard driving. I guess the shock absorbers aren't what they used to be.
I can get Monroe or KYB shocks available fairly widely
Does anyone have a suggestion ..maybe another make. I like the soft ride, it's a distinguishing feature of the Prisma so don't want to lose that.

I replaced the dampers & springs on my HF turbo ie about 4 years & used Monroe dampers & SPAX springs that are 40mm lower. The ride is a bit on the firm side but I'm happy with that but the Monroe dampers have got quite a bit of surface rust on them already which is surprising as I rarely drive my Delta when it's raining  Wink. As long as you use standard size springs & dampers the handling should similar but a bit firmer as it's new.

Thank you Rob,
I got Monroe dampers and new bumpstops from Autodoc and very reasonable prices.
The rears are unobtanium, except for the Integrale models from Lancia specialists. I managed to get a pair of rear nos dampers for cooking Delta/Prisma from Italy.
Now I may be able to put the front mudguards back on without them scraping the road! Yes, still a lovely ride, I kept the original springs, but less saggy and not hitting the stops now.

Yes I bought my dampers & bumpstops from Autodoc, they're very reasonable. Glad you've managed to acquire all the parts you required, just a shame that the rear dampers are now unavailable. It's good to hear that it still rides smoothly, I'd say that's a job well done  Grin.
