Anyone fitted new Omicron engine mounts recently?
Just replaced my originals.
Great service from Omicron as usual, but the front upper mounts they supplied are made of very hard rubber.
Much harder than the originals. I now have a lot of noise and vibration. Going to have to put the old one back on.

I did speak to Omicron and apparently they have been getting them remanufactured since 1986!
With no complaints I should add.
What is more they are specifically made from natural rubber due to its superior damping properties.

Conclusion is it must be me. Any thoughts.

I guess that Omicron buys the engine mounts from the same supplier that sells to Cavalitto (who supplied mine). I have also fitted new engine mounts at the front and they are indeed very hard. Admittedly, I have no vibrations but it is now difficult to remove the rocket cover as the engine sits higher. Andrea
