They are showing some confidence in the door locks...

Which reminds me - one year at the Goodwood track day (1990something) someone turned up in a Flamina PF and staying in touch with the seat and close enough to the wheel were their main challenges.  It might be the journalist who in later years took on the scruffy Fulvia berlina.  Name escapes me.
Pretty sure it was Martin Buckley.

Which reminds me - one year at the Goodwood track day (1990something) someone turned up in a Flamina PF and staying in touch with the seat and close enough to the wheel were their main challenges.  It might be the journalist who in later years took on the scruffy Fulvia berlina.  Name escapes me.

Sounds like Peter Baker of now Retrospeed fame if the Fulvia Berlina did the MC Historic in his hands?

It was Simon who in recent years owned the Fulvia saloon KPD that I wrote about, and he is now associated the the 96 Club.

Seeing Colin's photo of the interior of my 3rd series B20 from the 2010 HSCC Silverstone Meeting made me recall that I actually built the car in the mid/late 90's to go long distance Classic Rallying. You can see that it still had the illuminated compass fitted to the top of the dashboard along with the Tripmaster clocks in the glove box.
I removed the lovely illuminated compass shortly afterwards as can be seen from the photo of the interior my car at the HSCC  Silverstone in 2013  which is offered on ebay by someone - who on earth would ever buy a photo like that and where's my commission ?.
The first event Alex (then 19yrs old at Uni) and I  entered (and the last!) was the 2000 Classic Marathon which started in Yper, Belgium and ended up in San Remo, Italy a few days later. The car went well, the driving was fun and the driver listened to the navigator .......but I didn't enjoy driving at speed on open roads, particularly as we witnessed a nasty, rather bloody  accident to an E tyoe which hit a small OM Truck head on up in the hills. We stopped to help them medically and to clear the road and when at the end of that day we asked at check-in for our 20 minutes delay back to maintain our then 2nd position in Class, we were told 'you shouldn't have stopped and  Force Majeure doesn't apply!.@
So in later in  2000 I changed certain things on the car and went on the circuits at Richard Thorne's suggestion and thoroughly enjoyed the following 18 years.

A slow return to normality

I took the Fulvia out for the first time since lockdown ..... lovely !

In the background you can just see the Pyrenees lurking behind the Mourvèdre

Great photo, and the car looks superb!
And don't the Pyrenees look so innocuous from so far away. Not so up close, particularly en vélo  Cheesy

Hi All
Here's one from me when I took the car out last weekend - that's the new Severn Bridge and I'm parked on the old Aust Road ( where the ferry ran from ). It's a straight mile of road , usually quiet and ideal for a photo. This time I got probably the only parking spot with a view of the bridge Smiley - busy! - but nice people are able to be out and about.

Found this pic on the interweb of my car taken by last owner. I’ve only had it since lock down and due to chemo I am self isolating so have not had a chance to get out and take any good pics so was happy to fo find this.
