Not strictly a photo but interesting image of Lambda. I love that! Futurist artists did some wonderful paintings of cars and aeroplanes (it's a pity that some of the artists were dreadful Fascists, oops). There's a great futurist painting of (IIRC) a 1920s or 30s Bugatti on the main staircase at the RAC in Pall Mall. I will try to get a photo when next there.

Yesterday's post brought a batch of late 60's LMC Journals to keep me entertained during the rest of lockdown. I was struck by this picture of Julian Jane trialling his Lambda.

Another picture from my recently acquired old club journals, AGM 1967. At first I thought I was looking at Brian Hilton's FAY then realised it's a Fulvia Coupe not a Sedan.

I just came across this picture while Googling "Lancia Liverpool". It is described as a 1920s picture of the Liverpool to Blackpool Charabanc Service operated by Lancia Silver. There is no other information. It certainly looks like a Lambda or similar.

I love the driver's fag, bolted to his lip.
The passengers and people standing around look like a bunch of organised crime goons taking their moms on a jolly. The driver looks a bit tasty. His job description may say driver/henchman. You don't want him calling on you for that ten bob you owe the guy standing next to him.

The most probable chassis for a charabanc (without external gear lever) would be something like a Pentaiota. Bus chassis was a major part of Lancia's UK business at that time.

The driver of that one may possibly be enjoying his work.

Spot the difference - my vintage transport photographed in the same spot in 1960, 2010 and 2021. Trees have grown a bit - Douglas Fir but could easily be taken for Giant Redwoods

Best view of the integrale, in my humble opinion, at Cadwell Park yesterday.
