£12k for the Augusta is less than I thought it would sell for , but imho a fair price , if a standard saloon is worth £5k for restoration then I suppose the price is about right  , rare car however needs someone who likes a challenge  to put it right ,
. . . and a name came immediately to mind! Here are a few photos of it

Still think the augusta is a worthwile and rewarding project, but hey, I managed to stay away (I'm already well known enough in Belgian Lancia circles as the keeper of hopeless projects)

An excellent result, well done.

I hope we will be able to see some more photographs as things get uncovered.

I think you might be jumping to the wrong conclusions. I didn't buy any of it. (Too old!) perhaps one day we will find out who did.

A reliable source has told me that the Augusta was sold to a buyer in The Netherlands.

Was anyone able to find the chassis number and indications of a Registration number?  I took an interest in March Augustas in the 1970s when I bought a load of old Lancia spares from Middleton and Townsend in Edinburgh.  They were then the oldest Lancia dealer in Scotland.  The spares included  parts of a green March Augusta that had been broken up in the 1960s.  I found the owner and the car was 34-1840 in the list I offer below.  This list is well out-of-date and I would welcome revisions to it.

Paul,
The actual chassis plate was missing, but there were traces of the chassis number in the rust on the scuttle, but not clear enough to make out without a wire brush!
