Four images I took today of this rare and seemingly original Fiorio and Maglioli HF Fulvia. Copyright www.retro-speed.co.uk.

Coys claimed the car finished second on the 1969 Monte Carlo Rally, a myth that will be perpetuated, but it is not true. Porsche finished first (Waldegaard) and second (Larrousse) with an Alpine-Renault third in the general category. However, that year, and to encourage owners of Group 4/5/6 cars the organisers ran a separate, specialised category called the Mediterranee. Of the three cars that finished the Lancia finished second, not quite the same thing. The highest placed Fulvia in the General Category was the 1.3 HF driven by Pat Moss-Carlsson, into sixth place. The car in question did win its class at the Nurburgring 1000kms and on the Targa Florio, both in 1969.
The Fulvia HF pictured here was bid to £45,000, which was £10,000 short of the reserve so it didnt sell.

I would like to see C&SC write their own report instead of just repeating press releases.
