Frankly, with Group B hoping to make a comeback this year in historics the last thing we need is adverse publicity. The MSA are nervous as it is.

Well, having seen the documentary, I have no wish to see it again. I also expect the MSA to reverse their decision to allow Group B back into historic rallying. Sad evening

Seemed pretty obvious that the organisers and the spectators were to blame for the accidents where spectators were involved, the Portugese and Spanish spectators  were a group of total maniacs!
I liked the comments by all the drivers at the end of the programme of how much of a highlight Group B racing had been in their lives.
Lets hope the MSA are not put off, as crowd control is much better these days.

Was an OK programme with a fair few errors - one point that maybe my memory is wrong but I'm pretty sure that within 2-3 years of group A (ie the integrale et al) competing, weren't they matching the stage times of Group B?

Therefore - they were not necessairily that 'fast' as was made out.

They also got it wrong about the Audi Quattro, as everyone always does, whereby once 4WD arrived with the Quattro that was it, yet the 037 won the constructors title for Lancia in 1983 beating the Quattro by a mere 2 points.

Group A and the newer WRCs developed handling significantly, however in terms of outright power to weight ration nothing has since matched the performance of Group B.

Juha Kankunnen remarked on this after his WRC driving in 2010.

At just over 51 years old, Kankkunen finished an impressive 8th, beating many WRC regulars.

He stated Group B was much faster (acceleration) but much more difficult to drive than current drive by wire cars.
