Title: Parts Listing & Interchangeability
Post by: Mogie on 10 February, 2017, 02:56:56 AM
I wonder if anyone has complied a listing of Part Numbers for their cars? I am particularly interested in the Fulvia. It might sound an odd request but it is tiresome trying to source basic service items in NZ, just easier to import them (expensive!!). When trying to buy parts usual responses:

"The computer does not have a listing for Fulvia"
"Mitsubishi don't list a 1.3 Lancer in 1972"
"Whats a condenser?" (From one of the largest retailers - unbelievable but true!)

Unfortunately even if you had the Lancia Part numbers only the few specialists (Omicron, Cavalitto etc) would have the data bases to interrogate.

Best places to look are the ebays for service parts.

If there is some specific part then always feel free to post on this forum to see if anyone can help.

Hi

It is always one of the 'back log' items for the club database. The database would have all the parts and which models they're are applicable to and then we ( club members ) could add 'alternative parts' or anything else we think is useful eg: suppliers

This could only be done if we can get the source listing of parts and models in some electronic format that I can load ( otherwise it's a non-starter ). I've not been able to do this ( the FIAT ePer has all the information for the modern models but it isn't readable )

It's on the wish list though ....

I suggest using EPER for modern Lancias - Delta upwards. All others are Tavola paper parts lists (excellent if you have them for understanding how your car comes apart properly and goes back together afterwards).

So Steve it looks like a nice idea destined for the round filing cabinet!!!

ePer is fine for finding parts ( I agree ) but it can't enhanced with the extra knowledge that builds up ... this is why I'd like to copy and extend it :)

rather than the bin, it hasn't even made it off the drawing board ...
