Hello all, season's greetings... My everyday (and only) car, a 1972 Fulvia berlina (KPD 569K)'s engine is getting very tired. After 125,000 miles, cylinder number three is down to 65 psi compression and oil pressure is rarely registering at all, it really is time for a rebuild. But I cannot take the car off the road for long as I have no other family transport (bicycles, a tandem and a motorcycle don't count apparently...) So, I am looking for an engine that I can rebuild at comparative leisure. I would prefer a late 303 coupe engine, ideally complete with 35mm carburettors... I would be happy to return the berlina engine as an exchange but I suppose I ought to keep that with the car to preserve its originality... Given the workmanlike nature of the berlina, its comparatively low value and my financial position, I can't really offer a great deal of money but am happy to swap some skilled tech labour or writing/editing or other assistance for a discount... I can collect almost anywhere in the UK... Please help me keep this fine old car on the road... Thank you, Simon 07896 921115. |
