Title: Luggage tags
Post by: DavidLaver on 09 November, 2016, 09:12:19 AM

It looks like a case with no handle, but they are on the sides so it becomes a trunk?

The luggage tags are a familiar thing, but it occurred to me I don't know what they were actually for...  Just souvenirs?  Addressing?  Would they have any purpose for a CAR trunk rather than for rail or ship?

First I thought if they named a hotel they might aid identification between a rail station and the hotel but as this is a car trunk that wouldn't be needed. Also one of them just says 'Swiss Alps' so in all probability I would say they were souvenirs with a bit of showing off thrown in.
