Title: Dilambda Flying Star Post by: Sebastien on 17 October, 2016, 06:43:32 PM On a visit at Pantheon near Basel on the way to the Sliding Pillar 2015 in Alsace, I saw in a dusty corner in the basement this car, with what I thought a nice replica body, that suits the Dilambda chassis very well.
The initial design by Touring had been on an Isotta-Fraschini of even bigger proportions, and I think won a first price then at Villa d'Este concours. This car was sold at Bonhams not many years ago: https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20924/lot/511/ Does anyone have any more information regarding its previous history (the museum where it was exhibited, the shop that did the transformation) or its current owner? I hope that we shall see that car on the road soon, it would be nice to see another Dilambda at a Sliding Pillar meeting! |
