We stayed in a EuroCamp near there a few years back.  Its a lovely town.  A boat trip out to see the seals is a particular memory and I think there's also a steam train that runs round the bay.

If the SPR is going too open and close bookings in November it will have to do without me and my Lambda from now on. I cannot book before January because of unknown potential clashes. Apologies to all my friends from Down Under and the Lambda Consortium!

That would be a shame, Jonathan. Why not put your name down for an entry if someone pulls out? It's likely that someone will.
Regards, John

Jonathan, I am sorry the opening for entries for the Sliding Pillar were too early for you. We have moved them forward because most people who come on the rally want to ensure they have a place and arrange the rest of their calendar around it.
Which ever way we do it we can never please everyone, so my apologies that you have missed out.

I think everyone there will agree we had a suuuuupeeerweekend, fine weather, great food, lovely wines, nice roads and above all the ever friendly and relaxed atmosphere which makes every Sliding Pillar rally such a succes...

The ONLY shortcoming: the weekend is too......short...

I arrived back home last night exhausted !We did about 2500 kms in all - I decided to trailer the furgoncino over the Massif Central to save some time because she is really VERY slow on motorways and up hills, so we probably did 1500 kms in the Appia without missing a beat.
The only issue was a broken throttle return spring so I had a piece of string attached to the pedal to close the throttle

We both had a fantastic time - Juliet's first international rally and she said that she had enjoyed it much more than she expected....thanks to superb organisation, beautiful countryside, cloudless blue skies and most importantly delightful company

Great to put some faces to names on the Forum, including a brief visit from Parisian !

Big thanks to all involved

Thanks should go to Jan Van Hoorick who found the Hotel in a superb location, Eduard De Landtsheer who produced all the artwork and did the organisation and Toon Van Hoorick who did the routes.

Looks like it was the perfect weekend. The cars, settings and heat brings back memories of a couple of classic car treasure hunts we did around the Loire chateaux in the late 80's.
