Title: Fulvia Coupe - South African Import
Post by: neil-yaj396 on 25 March, 2016, 08:27:44 AM
I was looking at this car on ebay;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-LANCIA-FULVIA-RED-/222063923280?hash=item33b40a9050:g:H1MAAOSwI3RW9CGF

It looks to be riding very low at the front to me? Could this be a problem with the subframe?

Generally SA cars are pretty good structurally.

Was for sale on here very recently:

Looked a bargain price if it was sound.

Suspect front spring detempered/ broken leaf / rubber top mounts perished. Maybe a runner but lots of detail stuff to upgrade.

Check for corrosion and hidden bodges to sills as well as non original parts, corrosion to boot hinges, all the above were found on a Fulvia a friend purchased from SA. buyer beware ::)

Note the Red Daihatsu build plate on the offside inner wing panel. there may well be a seperate SA build number around the upper mount.
