Only if they had been to see it I would think.......but strange that the seller and the car are in Italy and it's advertised
on eBay UK.

And would you bid £180,000 for the Alfa Romeo he's also listed based on one picture and 130 positive feedback points?

It's quite common for cars in Italy to be posted on e-bay.uk and perhaps the lack of detail keeps time wasters away. I f someone is seriously interested they will chase up more information.

Hi All

Looking at the one picture, is it me or does the rear wheel not sit symmetrically in the rear wing or are they all like that?

Peter

This seller is a well known long term seller of Aurelia B20's and associated used spares. Not cheap but I (and Aurelia friends of mine, both amateurs like me and professional restorers) have found him to be reliable and someone who does not overstate either the condition or completeness of the project/spare part.
I have no connection to this seller other than having bought from and sold to him over the years and passed the time of day with him at Padova .

I was contacted by a guy who was interested - he forwarded more pictures to me to get my thoughts.

It's not 100% complete and has had a minor front end accident...

Apparently the seller is looking for €75k

Cheers
Dave

The fence behind the car is fascinating. It repeats!

The fence appears to me to be cast concrete panels, hence the repeat. As to the rear wheel location, if you look at the asymmetry of the house in the background the picture is distorted. I would suggest a wide angle lens has been used from a viewpoint well forward on the car.

Hi Frank

I understand what you are getting at, but I am not seeing it, still looks odd to me even allowing for some distortion.

Not having a windscreen doesn't help with the perspective either!

Another one just listed on e-bay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1962-Lancia-Flaminia-Touring-GT-Coupe-2-5-3C-/281973644696?hash=item41a6f05d98:g:4VcAAOSwu1VW7tk7

Interestingly it also has the rear wheel looking too far forward in the rear wheel arch and there is no obvious distortion in the picture to suggest it is an optical illusion.

This Flaminia GT Coupe 3C is also on Postwarclassic:
http://www.prewarcar.com/index.php?option=com_caradvert&view=ad&section_id=4&id=194274&Itemid=294
With dealer, asking GBP 42'500.
Looking at the photos, especially of the engine, the car seems to have been stored in a humid environment...
