Title: Fulvia steering box Post by: RobD on 29 November, 2015, 04:51:30 PM I have in my possession a Fulvia steering box which has 3 and bit turns lock to lock. Can somebody confirm whether this is an HF box?

Tim, do HFs really have just 2 and bit turns lock to lock? The slightly higher gearing of the LA9 could be a nice modification. i always shop at Waitrose in my HF not only for the complimentary cappachino but the car park is always empty......Parking HF steering is a mite heavy without a boot full but lighter with a boot full of goodies!Tim, do HFs really have just 2 and bit turns lock to lock? Title: Re: Fulvia steering box Post by: Neil on 30 November, 2015, 05:07:17 PM No cup holder in a Fulvia for your free coffee is the problem, I take a modern and less chance of some careless trolley or door damaging it, the car park here gets quite full. If you load the boot does the steering get lighter with a HF box despite the wider tyres?

This was about my spare box LA9 3.25 turns ltl!!!! The thread was exhaustive but not really conclusive in that the most persausive was that this was an HF box but my S2/S3 parts manual has this as LA21 (hd) LA26 (rhd) for HF, and LA16/LA18 for standard cars. Not sure about S1 part number info but Flavia is LA7/LA14 (lhd/rhd) not LA9 stated below as part of the thread.

So it seems Rob you and I have the same type of spare box. Welcome to the world of HF!! Certainly beneficial when taking on the Stelvio although I coped quite well in my 1600 sport with 4 turns ltl.... |
