I remember seeing a miniature Ferrari 512 built by an Italian I think at about 1/8th scale back in the 90's. It was the entire car and absolutely everything worked from the tiny flat 12,the little gated gearchange and even the rev counter. He'd probably think 1/4 scale was a bit too easy.
