Title: 2x restoration projects at Anglia Car Auctions, Nov 7th.
Post by: Derek Moore on 29 October, 2015, 08:53:26 AM
Come up for the day to Norfolk and feast your eyes on these two lovelies. Both look restorable to my untrained eye. I don't have the courage, but I know a lot of you out there will be salivating. A 1963 Coupe, looking rather sad, and a 1967 Convertible which looks pretty solid. No estimates at the moment. I think they've only gone on during the last few days. I'm on my iPad so I don't know how to put a link in, but those interested will find it. Quite a few pics on their website. For those who have never been, this auction has grown out of all recognition since it started several years ago. Get there at least two hours before the start otherwise you won't get parked, it's bedlam there. I'll hopefully be there with a couple of mates, so pm me with your phone nos if you want to meet up.
Also there is an immaculate looking series two Fulvia Coupe, but lhd.

See you there,
Derek Moore

That Fulvia looks amazing on the outside and in the cabin but my guess is that is will need a lot of mech recommissioning if the overall state of the engine bay is to go by - see colour of brake fluid.... This car is up somewhere else too??

The two Flavias do look like a lot of work. More than I would care to take on I must say, but hopefully they will be resurrected.

I went to the preview day yesterday. The Coupe looks like it's been in a field for years, only for the very brave! I'm not even sure it's useful for anything but a very few parts. The Vignale has had some work done and looks saveable.

Did anyone on the forum buy either of these Flavias?

The Vignale is reported sold for £2,800 incl premium and the coupe for £1,300 - both below estimate.
