Title: Marelli voltage regulator as fitted to Aurelias
Post by: chriswgawne on 30 September, 2015, 04:04:00 PM
I have several original Marelli voltage regulators which I would like to bench test before offering them up to a dynamo on a car. Is this easily done and if so, how?
Having established which are good and bad, does anyone know of a UK repairer of these? I can of course easily fit Lucas RB106 voltage regulators (and have done so several times) but ideally I would like to keep to original Marelli.
Any help or advice gratefully received. Thanks.
Chris

I've PM'd you.

Chris, had you thought of having the internals of your regulator replaced with electronics? The so-called 'chipped' dynamo.
I can put you in touch with an expert if you like who has done work for me for my Aprilia. Not cheap, but seems good although I have yet to use it.

Yes please Tony,
Certainly one or two of my regulators are a mess inside and probably unrecoverable so mew inners would be perfect.
