Title: Lybra aux in
Post by: srawlins on 08 September, 2015, 09:50:59 AM
Hi

I don't know if somebody can help with this question.......but does  anyone have an idea of how to connect an aux in to 3.5mm jack or USB to the Lybra, in order to use an iPod/MP3 player through the in-car system?

I have Google and YouTubed - but to no real avail......

Any suggestions gratefully received!!

Thank you

You can try an aerial type adaptor which allows an iPod or similar to connect, you basically disconnect the aerial lead add an adaptor in-line to the back of the radio with a 12v supply,  then tune the radio to the channel on the adaptor, connect the iPod too the flying lead, I fitted one in my daughter's Corsa fairly successfully, a little quiet but it works and charges it too.

Thanks so much for the suggestion - I haven't seen that one during my trawls through the internet!

Most seem quite complicate - and costly. I shall try your aerial thingy!!

Why do so many built-in systems lack an aux in? Ho hum!

Thanks again for the great idea :)
