As an ex-Fiat engineer, he has had total access to the Fiat Archives. His viewpoint is that of an engineer, and his book includes many technical drawings. Its available on line for free (quite readable, but the drawings are best seen in a hard copy, as they are a bit fuzzy in the low res pdf) from Centro Storico Fiat at:
