I have just taken my car out for its first drive of the year, and for some reason the indicators are not working. They were fine a couple of weeks ago but now nothing. i have checked the fuse which is okay, although there is what looks like a flasher relay under the dash although I can`t see any mention of one in any of my wiring diagrams.

So, firstly, do I have a flasher relay, and if so how many wires should go on it, as the one I mentioned has 3 spades but only 2 wires connected to it.

Or any other suggestions of what might be up.

Yupp you have flasher relay. Item 12 on the wiring diagram. Give it a flick.... but more likely you have a broken in the column switch

Looks like it should only have 2 wires after all, so thats not the problem. I`ll give it a whack and see if that spurs it into life.

Worth checking wherever the circuit earths as well?

I did remove the column switch over the winter to remove the dashboard. Where is the switch`s earth as there are no wire on the switch itself ?

Okay, tried a new relay but that made no difference. This is really getting on my nerves now, I hate electrics !

I seem to remember the unit earths itself so make sure the dome etc has a good metal to metal contact with the chassis and stalk.
