Title: Oil pipes from the Oil Intercooler (part numbers)
Post by: John Hart on 08 February, 2015, 05:25:24 PM
Hi All,

Yes me again, I took both my wheel arch liners off this weekend to have a look behind them. Yet again to my amazement, there I found absolutely gleaming paint work, with not a spot of rust in site! Huzar!

However, what I did spot that looked extremely worn, one so much so that it looks mm away from splitting, were the two oil pipes that join the engine to the oil intercooler.  Please is anyone able to help me with the part numbers so I can give Fiat a call?

Any help, much appreciated.

Cheers

John

If you go onto fiatforum they have eper the Fiat online parts list which covers Y10. However the problems start if these parts listed are pure Lancia parts not shared with a Fiat. Unless you have a very helpful Fiat dealer ( mine isnt) they will look up the part and see that it is Lancia part and ask you to go to a Lancia dealer which of course there arent any in UK.........

If anyone has a Fiat dealer that can get Lancia parts this would be good to know for the club!

Tim

. Hi Tim, thanks for the reply, my problem is that my y10 is from 1985 and so isn't listed on the eper.

I managed to find the pipes for a 1.3 GT which used the intercooler, but looking at them they aren't the same as the ones on my Turbo?!
Does anyone have regular access to a Lancia microfiche that was available at the time?

Cheers

John

John,
your best bet is to take them off, which might be a bit of a job, then look in yellow pages for someone who makes up hydraulic pipes for fork lift trucks and all sorts of other pieces of equipment, they will make them up to your requirements, would have thought you won't have a lot of luck trying to get hold of anything original.
I did this years ago for the oil cooler pipes for the auto box on a Thema.

Brians on the money. I go this route on my Fulvia/Flavia oil cooler pipes. I use Anglian Hose and Hydraulics a couple of miles from me, and they also salvage and reuse the existing fittings (but with out their normal gtee....).
