Title: Non member request for 2000 Coupe parts
Post by: peteracs on 07 October, 2014, 07:10:50 AM
Hi All

This was posted on Lancisti.net by a 2000 owner in Budapest. He is going to join the Flavia 2000 consortium, but if any non members can help either PM me and I will pass on or the Lancisti thread is

Original post -

"Hi, I just joined this forum. my 2000 coupe (820.230) is ending its restoration, but found some problems with the gearbox as it is quite worn. Is it possible to buy NEW GEARBOX?
Same goes with my rear leaf springs, I have two different ones built in - 818 and 820 (818 is more soft). tried to have new ones made, they were a disaster. Any new springs available?"

"The car I'm restoring is a 1972 model, i also bought a 1974 model for parts - I was surprised regarding the difference of two years. As the original Flavia 2000 parts ran out of stock, they were replaced by Fiat origin ones or were simplified. The windshield, triangle windows, sun visors, interior stiffening body panels, fuel tank, a range of electrical switches, quality of bonnet interior and spare wheel cover, front frame (grease nipple gone), rear leaf suspension mounting etc. are all different on the 1974 model."

Thanks

Peter

I believe NEW springs will be available from Cavallitto. I have bought recently for Fulvia and the build is correct.
