Title: Northants section
Post by: davidalanbatt on 01 August, 2007, 06:57:12 PM
Are there any members of the Northants section on the forum? I need to thank you all for donating the Clive York Gamma shield to the LMC.
Paul Fitzgerald (proud first winner of the shield!)

As a long standing friend to us all in the Northants section as well as to countless others in this country and indeed around the world it was our honour to have Clive York remembered in this small way.

Clive did more than almost anyone else to keep the Gamma on the road throughout the world and we felt that it was most fitting to have him forever associated with this model.

While the Gamma was Clives speciality he loved all things Lancia and was a great help to many club members, especially us 'locals', with technical issues on all models.

Thank you for your appreciation.

For for those who knew him well he is greatly missed, particularly his own subtle brands of wit, charm and diplomacy. He was a lovely man, a gentleman and was very proud to be known as a 'real' engineer.

I second Paul's comments  Thank you Northants Section
it is a fitting tribute that the Gamma (a gentlemans conveyance)
is forever associated with one of the last true  Gentleman of the
Lancia fold.
regards
Geoff 'the colonel' (next year's winner)
