Title: Help in tracing a one-off Lancia Cabriolet Built in 1956 ...
Post by: sparehead3 on 16 October, 2013, 11:22:25 AM
Hi All,

I've received an email from a non-member (in Denmark) asking for help , if anyone has any knowledge then that'd be great - just post a reply onto this thread (I can supply an email address too if needed):

"I do sincerely hope that someone with a historic knowledge of Lancia is able to help me.
In the English Octane issue from February 2013 and the Italian Automobilisme
DÈpoca from June same year, was there articles about one of Pinin Farinas
stylist / designers Aldo Bovarone.
Her there was a reference to a Lancia cabriolet build in 1956, a one off.
Don't know if it was a B24 or an early Flaminia.

The car was designed by Aldo Bovarone for the actress Brigitte Bardot.

I have tried to trace this design. But I am  unlucky. I have only been able
to find a picture of a one off Lancia designed by Pinin Farina. The Marcello
Mastroianni spider from 1958/59

I would hope that you are able to help, or can forward this mail to someone
that can answer the question.

with regards
Bjarke Aunsbjørn"

I am not sure if this is the car you are thinking of, but there was a one off Aurelia Convertible which Bridget Bardot owned, it was a modified B24 convertible with Flaminia style grille and enlarged rear fins.  Pictures below. It appears in photos to be either a grey or white, but is probably the same car resprayed for different motor shows.
