I am looking for better than the ones in the photos. Have a look on ebay.it as someone does reproduction ones for Fulvia and I think other models as well, but they don't produce them in English. Tim ....am inclined to agree...unless you want the "mint" look P Title: Re: Aprilia blue plaques Post by: chriswgawne on 18 May, 2013, 03:24:00 PM If the writing on the plates isnt pitted and the plates are reasonably flat, I have found it is possible to 'flood paint' the plate blue using an aerosol of the correct colour (maybe masking the outer edge) and then very very very carefully using a flat surface and a dead flat 'sandpaper holder' c/w fine wet and dry paper using water, abrade the paint off the letters as they stand slightly proud.
This wont work on pitted plates. If you are lucky and careful you will retain the lovely 'used' look and yet they will be tidier and legible. I will now try to find my plaques from the B20 and have a look at them. I definitely do not want the mint look and your suggestion should bring my rather tired plates up to an acceptable, rather than immaculate, standard.
