Title: Milano Auto Classica 2013
Post by: Sebastien on 03 March, 2013, 06:01:36 PM
Last week-end, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th of february, at the Fiera di Milano, the 2nd Auto Classica exhibition.
3 halls altogether, one for dealers, one for clubs, and one for spare parts, books and private cars for sale.
Many Lancias, for sale many Fulvias, a few Aprilias, but also Aurelias, especially B24 convertible, and B20.
Most interesting were 2 barn finds: a 1st series B20 and an early Flaminia Zagato.

A very nice stand of the Registro Aurelia, commemorating the successes of the early B20, with a special 1st series B20, a car modified by Pinin Farina in period, a so called "Speciale", with special Jaeger instruments, specially designed front seats, chromed steel front and back bumper, and generally improved finish.

A few more, there was an improvised circuit outside, where cars were let loose in batches of 3 to 5.
I saw front engine single seaters, rear engine ditto, an Alfa corse selection, and some touring cars, among which a nice Flavia Zagato. It snowed in the morning, the circuit was wet and cold, not ideal, but the drivers had some fun.

So, next year, if you can make it, come to Milano! It is not as big as Retromobile, or Essen, but easier to reach than Padova, and less crowded.
