Title: Series1 Beta Saloon - for sale
Post by: Betaboy2.0 on 06 February, 2013, 10:15:28 AM
Well, it is with great sadness and reluctance that I have decided to offer Basil the award winning Beta S1 1600 saloon for sale.

Current personal circumstances dictate the sense of this, so here is a pretty unique chance for you to buy what we think is the only 1600 Beta S1 on the road in the UK at the moment.

This beta was registered in August 1973, making him the earliest surviving Beta in the country. He has covered just 35k miles from new, and has never been welded or restored.

He is a launch specification Beta, so has many unique features over later S1 cars . Brass header tank, Archimedes screw style air vents, manual choke and hand throttle, "non-stepped" dashboard switches, plain non-pleated vinyl seat trim, door open warning light etc. He has the earlier 1592cc twin cam engine and runs like a dream. He really is a Lancia in his quality of construction and finish.

So, a few pictures, of a chance to buy what really is a unique piece of Lancia history. Offers in the region of £7995.

Looks to be mint Andy...good luck with the sale and I see you still have a hefty stable of Lancias to look after...or are they the previously owned list?
