Title: a thing of beauty is a joy forever (or at least quite a while anyway)
Post by: Scarpia on 28 March, 2007, 09:12:54 AM
spring is in the air and I'm sure readers will forgive me the indulgence of sharing a few photo's of the engine when it was ready for re installation. These are the moments that make it worthwhile eh? no boring technicals in this posting, just a nice warm feeling....

I should put it on the mantelpiece.  If you put it in the car it is only going to get dirty.  I think it was Andrew Maclagan who said that Lancias were best appreciated in small pieces scattered around the house.

Unfortunately you are both correct...( I'm certain Andrew did say that)
..the (old) pistons are on my desk; the engine is in the car and yes, it's dirty....

John, you doubtless are thinking of John Maltby's house!  My engine is currently with Serdi so I shall also have something to show soon (I hope!).  I do intend to put it in the car, though.
