It could also be compression tested.  For what it is and what a rebuild costs to my eye that's "priced to sell". 

Of course there's always the option of taking yours apart, cleaning it, putting it back togeather and you never know that might be all it needs...

He "put the word about" and I think it might also have been a Viva Lancia advert.  Its a tricky thing to value so having seen that advert you've at least got a starting point for a conversation.

But it has been for sale at that price for more than a year.  Part of the reason for this is probably that the work done to the engine is to some extent an unknown quantity.  

On the other hand, there are moments when the conspiracy theorist's talk of 'market ramping' in the classic car world seem almost believable.

Not entirely sure it is "priced to sell" judging by by recent correspondents with members off this forum....more inclined to go with the Italian conspiracy theory!!!
