Title: auction
Post by: Richard Fridd on 14 December, 2011, 07:05:09 PM
I have received a provisional offer from one of the nice chaps at a well known auction company  to buy my sport for them to sell at a profit to the far east as he claims to have prolific customers with 17k to spend on such a car.I was wondering if anyone else has been contacted by canvassers with positive results or otherwise!best regards richard

Best check the small print - they usually insist on a low reserve, and you may be disappointed.

Lancias don't usually fare well under the hammer...

Rule of thumb......never to buy off a salesman or from a cold caller or trust anyone else offering to do anything on your behalf, because usually its on their behalf|!!!!

Hi Richard,
Make sure you have cleared funds in your bank via a bank transfer and once it's in there ring your bank and check that it can't be drawn back at a later date! Trust me, i'm a car dealer and we get all the scams every day and this is one of them!
Regards Tony.

Have to agree with Brian, as long as its not from my mate Michael Wesley rearing his ugly head again >:(, be very careful, landline number or mobile? but be very careful as Brian says.
